Hello Kitty Cake

This cake is for 2 year old Samantha.  This is a huge cake!  It's more than a foot and a half in height. Kitty's head is purely made of rice krispies with marshmallows covered with fondant.  Kitty's body is a Vanilla Pound Cake filled with Chocolate Ganache.

Nursing Graduation Cake

Cheers to all the Nurses in the World! Congratulations to Joyce Davis Del Rosario for finishing up her nursing school.  The cake turned out really good.  In the end, it's all about details, details and more details...

Band-Aid.  This is my favorite detail of the cake.

Nursing Cap.  Old School Baby!
My EKG strip.  I love the graph lines

Artificial Intelligence Cake

I never thought that there is such a course for Artificial Intelligence for graduate studies.  This cake is a birthday cake for Raymund Del Rosario who is currently in school for A.I.  Paulo and I named the android - MAGNUM!

Baby's Butt Cake

This cake is for Mj Diaz and Sherwin Ko Yang's baby shower. Baby Sebastian is coming out soooonnn!!! The cake is an inspiration of _____'s butt! Haha! The base of the cake is a chocolate pound cake filled with chocolate ganache.

Baby's butt up front

The baby's blankie

The making of the baby's butt.  I first had to sculp the krispie treat to shape like baby's butt and baby's feet.  Then I covered it with fondant and add a little detail to look real.

Stripper Cake

Stripper Cake for the oldest (but youngest heart) of the group.  Happy Birthday!

My friend and I had to tweak and play around with this cake just for laughs.  Private humor for our friend Bernard Montano.

Ooohlala!

My first attempt to make a man out of fondant / modeling chocolate.

Barnyard Cake

My final product. Peanut's Barnyard Cake for his 5th month birthday.  The theme was an inspiration from pink cake box.  The cake is a Butter Pound Vanilla Cake by Norman Davis of TLC filled with Swiss Meringue Buttercream by Martha Stewart.  The coconut tree and the animals are all edible.  For the grass effect I used piping gel, then used brown sugar to achieve my "land".  I learned this technique from Buddy Valestro of Cake Boss!

How cute is Mr. Elephant!  Help! He's stuck in the mud! =)

Mr. Monkey hanging on a tree!!!

Mr. Crocodile is made of krispie treats with marshmallows covered with fondant and hand-painted

New York Yankees Cake

The final product.  A surprise 40th birthday cake for my coworker's husband, a Yankee fanatic!
I carved the Major League Baseball Logo and I love it!

New York Yankees Cap made of Moist Chocolate Cake covered with fondant

Mickey Mouse Birthday Cake

My 2nd attempt for another 3-dimensional cake. This cake is a Mickey Mouse inspired birthday cake for my friend Mavs Salvosa. The birthday box is a red velvet chocolate cake. Mickey Mouse's glove is made of marshmallow rice krispies covered with milk chocolate.

Victoria's Secret Cake

I have never baked a cake nor decorated one in my whole life. This was the first cake that I did. A Victoria's Secret Birthday Cake for 2 of my girlfriends' Lyra Uy and Joyce Del Rosario. Thanks to Sonia Rivera for being my great teacher in making 3d cakes (www.cakesngoodies.blogspot.com). For Luz Matute and Myra Matute for our baking 101 sessions....and to Paulo for being my #1 fan, my consultant, my artistic director, my driver, my cake carrier, my sidekick! I am proud of my final product. In the end, I made my 2 friends happy for their birthday.
